With the development of the market economy, the trade in commodities is extremely rich, and the export products are increasing. As a widely used product transportation packaging form, the color box is transformed from the original single text line to the color high quality copying sales package. Nowadays, color box printing has become a production link that enterprises are paying more and more attention to, and it is now a symbol of corporate image. China’s color box printing methods are diverse, traditional offset printing, flexographic printing, screen printing, and the recent development of flexographic pre-printing, gravure pre-printing, and digital printing all occupy their respective markets. I. Offset printing process Offset printing is the most mature printing method in the current process, and it plays a leading role in color box printing. The graphic part and the blank part of the printing plate are not divided into high and low points, almost on the same plane. When printing, the printing plate is first watered, then the ink is supplied to the printing plate, and the printing is realized by the principle of ink repelling. The plate making process is simple, the cost is low, the production efficiency is high, the pattern is exquisite, and the quality is stable.
There are two main ways to use offset printing on the color box. One is to print directly on the paperboard, and the other is to print the paper first, and then paste the paper. Among them, the indirect printing method is a pre-printing of a single sheet of paper, and the printing quality is high, and the surface decoration such as glazing and laminating can be performed after printing, which can greatly improve the appearance of the color box and be sold in high-end products. Packaging has always occupied a major position. However, the processing efficiency of the paste is low. The direct printing method is mainly for micro corrugated products. This method is widely used in foreign markets and has been relatively mature. It can be used in production with an improved offset printing machine.
Flexographic printing process
Flexographic printing is a direct printing method for short ink paths. The plate is made of a sensory resin with a certain elasticity, the image is partially convex, the blank portion is recessed, and the ink-jetting device using an squeegee blade and an anilox roller is used for production using an environmentally-friendly water-based ink. There are two types of printing methods for the color box: direct cardboard printing and pre-printing paper. Direct printing can be used for linkage production, and is currently the most widely used in the production of medium and low-end color boxes.
Digital printing process
The application of digital printing is another development direction of color box printing, which can make the graphic information directly from the computer to the surface of the paper, eliminating the need for intermediate plate making, and printing digital variable information, which can be done. The content is different, even the material can be changed. On-demand, timeliness, and variability are characteristics of digital printing. But the quality of printing is at least equal to traditional printing technology, and much higher than printing technology. The investment cost of a typical digital press can be 40%-50% lower than traditional offset or flexo printing. Compared to traditional printing, it prints faster, costs less per page, and has a competitive advantage. Among various digital printing methods, inkjet digital printing devices have developed rapidly.
